Laura Braid

Laura is an undeniably passionate mover, an ever-growing creator, and an instructor who will never stop being a student. Her dedication to her craft has granted her many opportunities such as: representing North America as a tap scholarship winner through the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) in London, England, performing on stages across North America as a member of the Culture Shock Organization, and eventually earning her role as Artistic Director of Culture Shock Ottawa. At the start of her career in Canada, Laura performed in the Goldwell Global Zoom 2018 production in Toronto, Canada, and worked with Cirque du Soleil as a dance captain for the creation of the Double Eleven Workshops.

Since moving overseas to the UK, Laura has had the opportunity to partake in some film work, perform in the West End Theatre production of The Best Of...Rock Musicals, and most recently performed for a second year in the Goldwell Global Zoom 2019 production in Vienna, Austria. Laura is a firm believer in the powerful influence that dance has to unify communities. Having just recently moved to the UK from her native home in Canada, Laura is thrilled to be living that reality as she continues building and growing within the UK and European dance industries.
